I posted a reply, but do not see it, so will give it one more shot.

Piano hinges on boot cowl and on cowling all around.

While on the topic of securing the cowling, I wonder if anyone has used piano hinges for the Panther cowling. If so, can you share some info, pics, or possibly a link?

Thanks

Qty: 1 MS-T26 (SNAP RING TOOL)
Qty: 1 4P3 (C-SPEC PLIERS)

This qty. provided for the top cowl only and I think I had two spare when complete.
Thanks Brian, did you use these on your cowling also?

Thanks for posting this information. I needed some Camlocs for my oil door and another compartment door panel in the cowling. I ordered 6 of the variable depth. Expensive, but for only 6 and not having to wrestle with getting the depth exact, this will be a plus for me.

CAMLOC question

Post by at7000ft »

Haven't worked with Camlocs before, question for anyone using Camlocs on their cowling and/or top deck, which camlocs work the best for the Panther? AC lists Cad or Stainless, slotted or phillips and -2 to -15 sizes, and the recepticals can have plain or csk (whatever that is) rivet holes?. Assuming Camlocs are the way to go for at least the tip cowling, opinions of whether camlocs are worth it on the top deck? 31 holes comes to about $200 for the cheapest size camlocs on the top deck.

Also best place to buy them?

Thanks
