I chose a simple, lightweight panel, but it is fully loaded 8.4 inch Grt Sport SX, transponder, ADS-B in and out, 2 axis Grt autopilot, and radio. Also, there is an electric primer button because of the Ellison carb.and an Ident button, and caution light. There is also audio warning in headset.

Hey Guys!

Here is a link to where I bought my switches. I'm not 100% sure of brand, but I think they all come from Carling.

I have been VERY happy with my switches. You can customize everything from light color, ,function, graphics, and text. I wanted something that would illuminate my text so switch labels wouldn't be necessary. For a typical install, these are super simple. My install was a bit trickier since I use a VP-X for my "breakers."

Once you select a switch it takes you to the customization menu. There is a whole category of aviation graphics to choose from. In addition, I did use the mounting frames. I hope this helps!!

Scott, which Carling switch type are you using? Were you able to find appropriate images for the various functions?

Nice Panels!

Sean, are those Carling Switches? How do you like them? Did you mount them directly into the panel cutout or use the mounting frames?

I am planning on using those same switches along with a RAM ball mount for a pad (currently and iPad Mini. The rest will be Dynon. My current layout is a Dynon 7" Skyview SE with Com and Knob panels, I also have the AP shown but not really planning on installing one.

Here are two screen shots of my layout. One is a quickie layout in visio, the other is in SolidWorks so I can generate the panel cutout. Am thinking about doing the panel in Carbon Fiber like Sean's.

Panel has Dynon components combined with a 7" SkyView display. It is the 7" because I had it in my KR2, which has a narrow height and the 10" would not fit. The components include the knob, AP, and COM along with the 2 axis auto pilot. In the center top are the warning lights for the ECU and EMS. The round item to the right is fresh air and lower right is the USB power port with two connections. The SV system in conjunction with the AP module, operate the Ray Allen trim servo when in AP mode and the far left switch operates it manually.

Absolutely LOVE that switchgear. Where did you get them from?

Also I note you have rudder trim. Have you made a trim tab for your rudder, or does that somehow directly affect the rudder cable?

Cheers
Al.

Nice work Sean, would you add another close-up picture of your fancy icon switches? Have not seen those before, no need for switch labels.
