Easy to put the tank behind the seat and everything else on the firewall. Ideas here:

Sean
The design max weight for the area is 40 lbs evenly distributed and is restricted to 3.7 Gs /No acro with anything in baggage area. A point load like your smoke tank will need a mount designed.
I agree with Will, We recommend weighing as soon as possible in your build to get a idea of the CG.
@ 40 lbs , what kind of smoke system are you planning. 2 gallons of smoke oil will make good smoke for 2 minutes. the total system wet should only weigh 20 lbs or so?
We will post the currnet specs, Ops limits and CG information ASAP on the cave. It will likely be after Sun n Fun

Re: Weight limit for baggage area??
Sean,
40 Lbs. is the max aft baggage limit.JMHO, Before installing your system I would strongly suggest you consider having the plane mostly complete and perform a trial W&B both empty and with you and mission fuel in it. Then you can calculate where the smoke system would put your weight and flying c.g. Then make your decision. I have to admit that it would be fun.

Weight limit for baggage area??
Is there a published structural weight limit for the baggage area? The Texas guys are considering this area for a 40 lb smoke system (wet).
Thanks!
Thanks!
