Congratulations Tony on your first flight. I think there's a new FAA regulation that says you must post at least one video on You Tube, showing you doing a low pass and "beating up the field".

Thanks, Glen. When an airplane has beautiful lines, a simple paint scheme is best. No need to make it look like a Winnebago. :)

Beautiful paint scheme Tony. Your plane looks fast just sitting there.

For the largest collection of vinyl wrap opinions available anywhere on the internet, go here and enter vinyl wrap in the search block: http://www.vansairforce.com/community/search.php

Might be better to start at the bottom and work your way to the top. Get a giant box of popcorn before you start reading.

I've been messing around trying some of the 3M vinyl products and they seem to work really well (compound curves may be to tuff for me though). So far I am going with them on the inside of the cockpit, floor, sides, and panel. I did the whole belly sheet and trimmed areas where the cage mates to it just because I didn't want the vinyl between the structures. I think the vinyl may be more resistant to scratches and dings from the belts and other potential FOD in the cockpit.

You can see the floor board and panel in my picasa: https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/9 ... directlink

I let the aerolife sealant "goop" out a bit when the belly went on so that is what you see and not the vinyl edges... you can't tell that it is not a perfect silver paint job on the floorboard and the panel is carbon fiber wrap (which is a tad thicker than the other colors).
