I'll butt in here with this info. The Rotec 2800 is about 50 LBs lighter than an O-320 Lyc. The 3600 is about the same weight as the O-320. The interesting thing is that the 2800 is about the same weight as the Corvair. Rotec's site lists it at 224 LBs with all bolt on accessories. It might be a bit of work to get a radial cowling to blend in with the slab sided fuse on the Panther

There you go John, thinking 'out the box' again. Would be beautiful, wonder how the installed weight of a Rotec 3600 compares with an O-320.

Rotec Radial on a Panther?

Post by Waiex116YX »

Having seen pictures of the RV8 Rotec Radial, wondering if its feasible to graft one on a Panther? It would look a bit like a Sukhoi Su-31.
