I have seen some planes that use copper, I am just not sure that it would be flexible enough in this application.

I am also curious about this. I have used Nylaflow plastic lines in the past, they can’t take direct heat from the brake disks or UV from the sun. I have been thinking about routing out the trailing edge of the gear legs more so that -3 braided Teflon hose would fit. The Rutan Ez crowd mostly switched to DOT 5 brake fluid, which is non flammable, due to a couple instances of the Nylaflow tubing melting and the 5606 braking fluid starting a fire as it sprayed on the hot brake disk.

I am using Matco brakes, along with their plastic brake lines. Has anyone come up with a more durable solution than the plastic? I accidently dragged a brake while taxiing and the line melted. I know to be careful to keep feet of the brakes but sometime you screw up. There has got to be a better solution than plastic....
