I am interested in the Cougar. Any updates on development or possible timelines for development?

Thanks for the reply Dan! Sounds good. Was curious if the wing folding will be standard on the Cougar as well?

The cougar by design will be front seat solo. Many Tandem aircraft are front seat solo. The cougar being experimental COULD be configured by BUILDER to rear seat solo. The Cougar Prototype will show case some interesting hardware to allow it to have a broad CG range despite loading, and allow the pilot to tailor the CG to his mission (versatility!). In MY opinion rear seat solo diminishes much of the reason for tandem seating. Front seat puts you close to center of Yaw/Pit/roll , offers great visibility, and is much easier to set up the instrument/controls. The feeling of "command" and awareness of tandem seating front seat is identical to a single seat. I've never understood the "I can keep eye on passenger" thought?? If you don't trust them don't fly with them. also if you don't trust passenger remove the rear stick and don't build anything into the rear seat that you don't want them to access? I will start a new Cougar Post called Cougar design goals so those interested can decide if you want to wait and see ,or get to building something else that fits your mission better. It should also detail how it is different that a RV-X and how its alike

I prefer front seat solo as 90% of my flying will be solo.
Rear seat solo is what's keeping me away from the Sonerai 2L.

Yeaaa the only problem with a extra is the Extra price tag :(

I am curious then what will set the Panther apart from the RV4/8? I imagine and hope the price point will be better! And I hope the Cougar will be capable of 2 up aerobatics unlike the RV-4.

I have wondered this as well! I would definitely like to see a rear seat PIC setup. Less CG change with passengers and I get to keep a eye on them ;)
