Tony,

I've never met you, but as I'm sure many can say the same thing, the Internet has allowed me to get to know to know at least some of the builder in you. My condolences on your loss.

Hi Bruce,

It's been almost a month since I was last in the shop.

On 11/22, my sweet wife of 49 years suffered a ruptured aneurysm in her brain. On 12/7 she passed away.

The Panther will be good therapy for me at some point, but right now I just don't know when that will be.

Tony,

Hah! You kill me. Hah, you be the only one of us to say you completed 2,3, ? 5 panthers before us. Plus, you can do it with your eyes close.
All in good fun and keep at it my friend. Like they say when your flying, and smiling, all of the sleepless nights, phone calls, waiting for parts or replacements is a long lost memeory. Sorta. It's worth it!

You get to leave this "Rat Race" of a world behind to enjoy what us aviators real love to do and that's "FLY".

Be looking for your next updates, K

Thank you again,

Bruce

Hi Bruce,

Thanks!

But if I were really as smart as you think, I most likely wouldn't have built two sets of wings, two sets of tail feathers, three sets of flaps/ailerons and five boot cowls just to end up with one Panther. :)

Tony,

Yes, "Thank you". Maybe not said enough as many viewed your photo's daily on your progress. A few of us folks need the pioneers up front hammering it out for us to learn from.

From the photo's and updates it's a 2+2 equation as to the ease of building with the factory parts on the panther. Seeing your abilities to adapt ahead of the kit release is a test to your skills in the shop. Your an "X" RV3 builder. Harder of the bunch to build by todays standards of kit ease! I finished a slow build 8. Sold it, now want a "Panther".

I think I have my motor but won't know for sure until I opener it up to see how the internals are? "Corvair" of course.

Hang in there and wish you were a little bit closer to me to keep those building juices alive. Your in SC and myself NV bit far for a Sunday drive.

Take care,

Bruce Gray
