It is a prototype - should be released soon.

That's the correct part number. Be patient, young man.

Just stopped by Cleaveland tool and saw Mikes new die prototype. Simply match drill holes to #40, disassemble, debur, dimple, then run a 30 reamer through, reassemble, rivet away. He hopes to have one to try on my horizontal stab Monday. I will post results.

Its amazing how people have such different opinions of the same thing.I have in the past and still use just about every method of deburring, except the offset swively thing Tony posted. I threw mine away 10 minutes after I tried it. I absolutely hate those things.I used to use a bit I got at a aircraft surplus site spun in a cheap low speed cordless screw driver. Then I started using the burr away. Many people dont adjust the spring tension correctly so they either do nothibg or over do it. When set up correctly I haven't found anything better. I also hate using abrasive wheels to deburr but some love them? Oh well to each our own, figure what you like and get it done!

Agree with Tony. I have the countersink extension and bit that fits in a cordless screwdriver. Did 99% of the holes in the RV8 with it and still works like a charm :) Time for a fresh one for the Panther though

Re: Perfect #30 holes when dimpling - Burraway

Post by PlaneDan »

I like this tool so much that I bought a second just in case it broke while I was deburring. I even found a 3/16 Burraway and bought it. I do feel like I should point out that I was using the tool just like Rachel advises. Avery told me that they didn't sell them anymore because they kept breaking. I figured that everyone must be running them too fast, so from the start, I set my pressure regulator at 20# and pulled the trigger just enough to get it running. So, try it, but I don't think that mis-use is the problem, but using it on this very thin material, may be a problem.

The best use for a Burraway is as a paperweight.

Try one of these:
