Crypto.com Card Failing Online? Here's How I Fixed It
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to share a quick post for anyone dealing with their crypto.com card not working when making online payments. I ran into this issue a few days ago while checking out on an e-commerce site, and it took me a bit to figure out what was going wrong.
Here’s a list of things I tried—and what actually worked:
Double-check your billing address
Make sure the address you enter matches the one on your Crypto.com profile. Even a small mismatch can trigger a decline.
Know which sites support prepaid cards
Some online platforms don’t accept prepaid or crypto-funded cards. It’s not always clear, but if it keeps getting declined, that might be the reason.
Top up your card properly
Ensure your Crypto.com card has enough funds. You might need to convert crypto to fiat in the app before making certain payments.
Use Apple Pay or Google Pay
I had more success linking my card to Google Pay and using that instead. For some reason, it worked where direct payment failed.
Watch out for temporary blocks
Too many failed attempts can lock your card. If that happens, contact Crypto.com support from the app to sort it out.
If your crypto.com card not working issue is still unresolved after trying these, don’t stress—support usually responds quickly through the app.
Has anyone else experienced this? Would love to hear what worked for you!
